In the last few days a new craze has arisen
among Catalan youngsters, the ‘Informers’ in the social networks. They are a
public system to spread rumours and gossip among teenagers. This kind of anonymous
cyber bullying can have devastating consequences on individuals who see how
classmates comment on their private lives. What is your opinion about this
phenomenon? Would you take part in one? Have you thought about the
psychological damage it can cause? All opinions are welcome.

I have never entered in this page but I think it is not more dangerous than any other side in internet. If you don't want to entry you won't entry. If some one is attacking you there you don't have to be afraid. Someone who have to say that things under a false or an anonymous name is someone who haven't got courage to say you that face to face, maybe a coward. Obviously, the people who can't see that this things aren't more than silly things have many ways to defend themselves: they can blok it, they can denounce it...

I really think that are not beneficial the famous "Informers". The people involved don't think in the feelings of others people. There are Informers of some schools of Catalonia where people are uncontrolled and where are surging great discussions. Luckily, in the Informer of our school has not been any truly evil comment, some more offensive than others, but nothing very serious. I am not clear why certain people create Informers, since they have very little of worth to do something anonymously to encourage others to fight. The problem is that those who participate do the Informers' succeed. Surely, schools will take steps to ensure that these pages will disappear.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion this new fashion if you can call it that, because I can not find or an adjective to describe it. is one of the many (bullshit) that people invent things or account of privacy that may upset someone, I think that giving all the information to laugh not aware of the harm that can be done in an adolescent. I think too many people complain about this new "fashion" but that is part until you leave your name then change their minds. To conclude, in my opinion this type of things would have to Facebook for example deleting or be eliminated by the affected.

In my opinion the informers is one of the other silly actions of the young people. The gossip and the rumours have existed since the start of dialogue and community life. In spite of the problems that always give the rumours, now in the time of the cyber tecnologies, internet has given a new vision of the gossip, totally anonymous. Much young people who don't defend themself in real life, they use internet pages, like the informers, to be more brave and defend themself.
ReplyDeleteThe informers are the perfect tool for this people and for this reason now the page named "informer de las domis" is full of comments which intention is hurt the others.
Finally my advice is: don't entry in this page because if nobody pay attention to the publications the page, it will dissapear. Internet is the only gun of this people, in the real life they are nothing.
I think it is not dangerous because you can no enter in this page and the "Informers" don't attack you if you would like. In my opinion it can't make a psychological damage for this reason but everything changes in the opinion of each. I enter in "Informers" because some comments are funny and I enjoy with this. There will always be someone who will criticize you. Also, people can block and denounce this page, and the "Informers" aren't very popular in my opinion for preocupation. Moreover, it is only a trend and it will be finish soon.
ReplyDeleteI think that informer is a bad creation by three univerisity student's of "Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona". The first informer was "El informer UAB" and it have 15.000 followers. Later created the mobile aplicattion "Gossip Girl".
ReplyDeleteI think that is a dangerous social network because a lot of people says things that can annoy other people. In my opinion the informer should be close because is bad for the society.
The psychological effects can create many discussions with friends and create many fights.

I disagree with Jordi, he believes it is a bad idea for a group of students, however I think that it is a good idea that could have been to help to many people. Moreover, there are "informers" who are well, and provide assistance, such as the "informer" Selectivity of 2013. Even good intentions, I think society and especially the youth people in general, always try to make things bad of an idea and therefore spoil it. It is a page that if the people acting as they should, these things would not happen so unfortunate as to put gossip and insults towards other people. The "informer" will bring more problems, but I think it is a phenomenon that will be short. I think that is very cowardly by people to get to this limit and shows a lot of people who put comments like that. I personally was angry a lot when I saw the use that was given to these pages.

ReplyDeleteAs other opinions in this page, I think that the Informers in the social network can not affect anybody if those people who are included in the gossip comments don’t care about it. It is a simple question of being more intelligent that the person who is wasting his time making that rude comments. Few days ago, the first time I saw these pages I was freaking out. I mean, I don’t understand why people waste his time making this: these ones have no life. To sum up, the best way to avoid this pages is the elimination of it.
ReplyDeleteAs Albert, I think that this pages only are useful for gossip, and that the last objective of those who created the informer is to control all the information they can collect. Furthermore, the page is very dangerous for the school environment,and is able to create brawls in the future.
ReplyDeleteI think that our behaviour as responsible members of the educational community must be to ignore the informer, and, of course, all of us shouldn't participate sending messages (even if they are send with a good intention). If we ignore the informer, it will disappear for sure.

ReplyDeleteT think that the "informer" was created primarily by a playful reason and without wishing to offend anyone, but as usual to spend in this country, has gone from our hands, now people use "informer" to disrespect to people around them, has false gossip or is rie of others.
With this all that is achieved is to create conflicts and fights, so bad is the creator of the page as those who sends offensive messages, if someone has a problem with someone they should talk in private to that person, but can not belittle anyone publicly.
If the "informer" was something fun where nobody is poking with anyone or serve to help the classmates, the great breakthrough, but to be the opposite, I think that it should be abolished

ReplyDeleteMy opinion about informers is that this new page can cause irritation and a lot of problems, because now there are five denounces yet, for its bad use.
ReplyDeleteI think that it is better not to participate, in this way informer will lose followers.
Moreover the informer could be a good page if people do a good use and don't use it for insult someone.
In conclusion, I think that socials network exist for comunication but informer is a page that creates tension and at the moment informer is used to speak badly about people.

ReplyDeleteSince Informer appears, It had cause a revolution in the teenagers. There are many points of view about this boom.
On the one hand, I think that the informer isn't dangerous for the person if this comments wouldn't be relationated with the personal life. If we use informers carefully,it will be funny for everyone and it will create an opportunity for shy people to know new persons.
On the other hand,I think that this plataform is used to make fun of people. Furthermore,informer is a vicious for the students and the gossips makes that students waste time for the study.
On balance, It should eliminate informers for the benefit of all.

Good morning class! Well,I think that it's great for us to create something where you can write anonimous. I would like to take part of any but I don't have many time for this and as I see, the majority of the Informers are for scoffing from the weakest people. If you start having problems with the Informer, I think that you can denounce it. All in all, the schools are taking a decision, and this can be the final of this type of pages.

In my opinion this is a fad that will pass sooner or later, and who have denounced some of the people who created them. That success, forced the people to close the pages in facebook. I think that this pages are not offensive if you know how to use it, in some universities and schools, this type of offense the other people, is only a kind of funny for the people who studies in this centres.

Sometimes Internet can be dangerous, especially if people insults other people or says innapropiated things of them with anonymity. The Informers emerged for write positive purposes of the school and the subjects. However, there are always people who not used correctly this service.

In my opinion, informers should be prohibited to avoid more serious problems..
One thing is true: if you don't want to be insulted don't click "Like" in the page.
However, there are more schools which Informers do well. Its depends the students!

In my opinion the informers have a good and bad things. I think that we can opine about this because has affected us. The good thinks about the informers are that everyone can write funny comments or gossip without offending anyone. But many people do misuse because they do not respect others and they write comments that can hurt others persons. And there are people who had to leave his school because of some publications and offenses. For all this, I think that the creators must eliminate the informers for the good of all.

In my opinion, all the things can be used in the good and in the bad way. I think that the informers are a good way to write about funny things in general, but, I also think that they should not be used to write about the other's lifes and to gossip.

First, when I saw the Informers of universities I was agree with it. Many people thought the same thing and they could give their opinion. When I saw the "Informer de les Domis-Amílcar" I really like it because I thought that it could be useful. Then people began to pick on other people.

In my opinion, the "Informers" are a new way of humiliating making know to the people those personal things of every person, which they aren't interested anybody.
ReplyDeleteParticipate in a "Informer" is the last thing I would do, because nobody is interested in knowing things of the others, and more if they don't know them of anithing and only it serves to criticize them and to leave badly in front of thousand of persons.
This can cause depression and even fighting, as happened in Terrassa, where police had to intervene.
According to what I heard, there has been a suicide because people got into the life of the person affected him.
It have to of there be eliminating this web way cybernetic that alone causes moral hurts.
In my opinion I believe that this type of pages are entertained if we can use.The problem is that we them cannot use and damage to the people with offensive comments.

In my opinion the informers can cause many problems between students. Could only be fun if used responsibly, but high school students are not mature. Many people have been victims of the jokes of his freends, and that can be very dangerous. Victims of informers could be submitted a bullyng. The peoplate thaht use the informers are cowards because they use a computer to damege to others. We should all express our feelings in front of people, and is something that should not be lost.

In my opinion the "informers" is an invention of all people who feel unsafe and that they are cowards because they have the courage to say your opinion about someone with his name and in front of you. I at all participate in any "informer". And finally the people who participate is because they know the damage it can cause to another person.
